Dear Group Members,
Following research positions are available at CISNR, UET Peshawar. The positions are for a funded research project on Intelligent Transportation Systems. The time period is 1 year for each position. The job titles and the relevant details are:

1. Team Lead
Min Qualification: M.Sc (Electrical/ Computer Systems/ Electronics Engineering, M.Sc in Computer Science may also apply)
Experience: At least 2 years
Responsibilities: Keeping track of a team of researchers, insure the tasks are completed within deadlines, Manage quarterly reports, Programming embedded modules mostly in C/C++

2. Research Associate
Min Qualification: B.Sc or preferably M.Sc (Electrical/ Computer Systems/ Electronics Engineering, B.Sc/ M.Sc in Computer Science may also apply)
Experience: At least 2 years
Responsibilities: Programming embedded modules mostly in C/C++ i.e. Zigbee modules, 16/32 bit MCUs, Evaluation of certain wireless communication algorithms

3. Research Assistant

Experience: Not mandatory

Our humble little effort at creating top flight URDU content for kids is covered by the Tribune newspaper. The title is named 'Duddoo Aur Dhobi'.

This is especially useful for expatriate Pakistanis who want their little children to stay connected to mother tongue.

Center of Research in Network and Telecom (CoReNeT) is going to organize a workshop on "Writing Technical Documents Using LaTeX". In this workshop, the aim is to familiarize the participants to write technical documents using LaTeX. The workshop will introduce basics, how to install, document structure, equation writing, tables, figures, lists, references, bibliography etc.Writing an article using a LaTeX class or style file will be introduced. Moreover, writing a project or thesis report using templates will be practiced. In addition changing style files or templates will also be covered. This workshop will give practical experience to participants through hands-on sessions. We will provide an environment where participants can practically play with LaTeX. It is recommended that participants bring their own Laptops to install and practice LaTeX. However, in other case, members will be given ample opportunities for practical work.

Objectives:
               To understand LaTeX and its benefits in technical document writing
               To enable the participants to write articles and reports using LaTeX
               Using class or templates provided by conference and journals
               Modifying class or style files to fit your needs
               Hands-on experience of LaTeX

Who should attend? 
            This workshop is intended for researchers and students interested to write articles and reports without hassle, want to write once and forget about formatting

Rs. 500/- per professional and Rs. 200 /- per student which includes cost of lectures, course material, attendee package, refreshments.

Dear Usman khalid, to be very honest with you in Pakistan there is no way of getting entry in telecom sector for fresh graduates with out strong reference. I would recommend you to search for it because no one is going to call you with out it. I know many professionals in this group will not going to agree with my statement but being a fresh i have also faced the same. This is my sincere advice to you else it's up to you.

Dear Members & IT Gurus,

Hope everything is fine at your end, Please if you can guide me how to measure CIR bandwidth as I have 8 users some times one with 2MB CIR connection but speed dosen't looks like 2MB CIR and ISP always says its 2 MB CIR. 

But I don't beleive them they have already charged me, a huge amount on this connection 800 Thousand PKR.  :-(

www.speedtest.net dosen't works for CIR it gives me 8Mb or like that speed or displays errors.

Would appreciate for quick help.
