Minimum Requirement:
A PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is essential. The successful applicant should have 2-5 years of research experience after completing his/her PhD and should be able to demonstrate a good international research track record.
Major Duties:
The role will encompass a range of activities related to communication technology, Data Mining, Data Analysis, and Context Management in National and International research projects. The successful applicant will be dynamic, capable of working on own initiative as well as in a team environment.
The role will include travel to International (predominantly European) destinations. The successful applicant will join a team of professional researchers working on a range of projects in Data Mining and Social Computing. The team spans basic research through applied research to product commercialisation. The applicant will contribute to leadership in developing new Data Mining and Social Computing research directions and partnerships to both strengthen and complement existing activity at TSSG.
The specialisations required for the role within the Data Mining and Social Computing Research Unit in TSSG include Social Network Analysis, Predictive Analytics, Data Modeling and Warehousing, Context Management and Pervasive Computing.
