This is a load of crap. The process is not self sustaining. You need external fuel source just to keep the process going. If they claim it then they are defying basic laws of physics. Quoting Wikipedia the link provided in the same article reads
"Hydrogen itself is a high-energy, flammable substance, but its useful energy is released when water is formed—water will not burn. The process of electrolysis, discussed below, would split water into hydrogen and oxygen, but it takes as much energy to take apart a water molecule as was released when the hydrogen was oxidized to form water. In fact, some energy would be lost in converting water to hydrogen and then burning the hydrogen because some heat would always be produced in the conversions."
If you take a look at highlighted part you will see that it is not possible as of now. Stating that i must also mention here that it is not fair on media's part that they promote such dumb thing on national television without any investigation. Like previously i heard a similar news about some guys making an non penetrable antivirus and when i did a little research all they did was just make some firewall rule to block ports and stuff for symantec's firewall.
What i am trying to prove is that a genuine innovation should always be appreciated but if you copy someone else's work and claim that you have invented is called plagiarism and it is considered to be highly offensive throughout the world. You can find a million videos on youtube showing the process of hydrolysis used in cars.

Qasim
