Following positions have opened up at the LUMS SSE Department of Electrical Engineering:

Position: Teaching Fellow

Number of Positions: 01

Required Qualification: MS in Electrical Engg/Systems Engg/Mechatronics Engg

Area of Expertise:  Control Systems. Applicant should also have good knowledge of designing control through State Space techniques. 

Experience: If some one has TAed in this area or conducted labs before, he/she will have an edge. However, people who have just finished their MS in this area can also apply.

Some Comments: At LUMS the position of Teaching Fellow is a faculty position equivalent to Lecturer in other universities. Teaching Fellows usually Co-Teach courses along with a senior faculty member who is the lead instructor. They maybe given courses of their own on the basis of their performance and requirements within the department. This position is ideal for people who have done their Masters and are likely to proceed for their PhD degree in a year or two. The main purpose of this Teaching Fellow position is to teach and assist in courses of the Control Systems area. This particular Teaching Fellow position is associated with the CYPHYNETS lab at the EE Department which is actively pursuing a number of funded research projects, thus this position may also involve research work. Position: Software Engineer

Number of Positions: 02

Required Qualification: BE Software Engineering/BS Computer Science/BCS

Area of Expertise: Web development, GIS Development, etc.

Experience: Preferably 1 year experience in the area of expertise above. However, fresh graduates can also apply.
