For Faculties as per Statutes regarding Eligibility Criteria for
Appointment of the Faculty Members under section 46 (1) (a) of the Mehran
University of Engineering and Technology Act, 1977 and Higher Education
Commission/Pakistan Engineering Council's criteria.

Applications are invited from qualified candidates domiciled in the
Province of Sindh for recruitment to the following posts at Mehran
University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. The candidates possessing
the educational qualifications and fulfilling the conditions as laid down
below should apply on the prescribed application forms obtainable from the
office of the Registrar, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology,
Jamshoro on payment of Rs.1000/- through Bank Challan in Habib Bank
Limited, Mehran University Booth, Jamshoro / Bank Draft in the name of
Director Finance of the University. Application forms can also be
downloaded from the downloads section <http://www.muet.edu.pk/careers/forms>

The applications with full particulars along with the attested copies of
Certificates, Degrees from Matriculation and onwards and four (04) recent
passport size photographs should reach in the office of the undersigned on

Software Engg, Metallurgy & Materials Engg, Petroleum & Natural Gas Engg,
Industrial Engg & Management, Textile Engg and Architecture.

Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC
with 12 years teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution /
College / University or 12 years professional experience in the relevant
field in a National or International Organization out of which 5 years must
be teaching experience.

12 research publications at least 03 publications in the last three years
in HEC / PEC recognized journals.

1.

Associate Professor (BPS-20) in

Civil Engg, Chemical Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronic Engg, Bio-Medical
Engg, Telecommunication Engg, Computer System Engg, Software Engg,
Metallurgy & Materials Engg, Petroleum & Natural Gas Engg, Industrial Engg
& Management, Textile Engg and Architecture.

Ph.D. in relevant field from Institution recognized by HEC in consultation
with PEC with 7 years teaching / research experience in a recognized
Institution / College / University or 7 years professional experience in
the relevant field in a National or International Organization out of which
2 years must be teaching experience.

08 research publications at least 02 publications in the last three years
in HEC / PEC recognized journals.

Associate Professor (BPS-20) in

Mehran University Institute of Science, Technology & Development (MU-IST&D).

Ph.D degree in Science and Technology Policy / Development or other
relevant field of Science, Engineering, Technology or Management with 10
years teaching / research at least 4 years post Ph.D. level experience in
HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional
experience in the relevant field in a National or International
Organization.

10 research publication at least 04 publications in last five years in HEC
recognized journals.

*Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in

consultation with PEC, No experience required for Ph.D. degree holders.*

Master degree (foreign) OR M. Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded
after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field
from HEC recognized University / Institution with 4 years teaching /
research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate
Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National
or International Organization.

OR

Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution. No
experience required for Ph.D holders.

Lecturer (BPS-18) in Mathematics

First Class Master's Degree OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of
education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career
from HEC recognized University / Institution. However, during the next two
years (i-e. until September 30, 2008) if no candidate is available without
3rd division in the academic record, then the university may forward the
case for appointment of a selected candidate to the HEC for consideration
and approval.

The preference will be given to those who have completed the M.Phil from
HEC recognized University.

The applicant(s) must have valid GRE general type at their credit, with
minimum of 50 score conducted by National Testing Service (N.T.S).

*Software Developer (BPS-17)*

*1st class Master's degree preferably (16 years of education) in Computer/
Software from a recognized University with 2 years experience in the
relevant field.*

*Experience can be relaxed in case of Higher Qualification.*

*INSTRUCTIONS*

1. Maximum age limit is 50 years for the Professors, 45 years for the
Associate Professors and Assistant Professor and 30 years for others,
relaxable in the cases of Government / Semi-Government employees in
exceptional cases as well as allowed by Government of Pakistan.
2. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate
applications forms along with bank draft / challan with necessary documents
for each post.
3. Candidates who are already serving in Government / Semi-Government
and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by
N.O.C. from the employer. An advance copy of the application(s) may be
sent, so as to reach within due date.
4. Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as professional
Engineer and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners as
Professional Architect and Town Planner is mandatory.
5. The recruitment against the above mentioned posts shall be made
strictly subject to availability of the posts.
6. Research Publications must be binded/perforated else application form
shall not be entertained.
7. Application or applications received after the due date will not be
entertained.
8. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview
9. No. T.A / D.A. will be paid for appearing at the interview.
10. The posts are purely temporary, but are likely to be continued.
11. The University reserves the right to delete any post(s) partially
and / or wholly.
12. All documents from Matric to onward are also must to be attached
with the application form else scrutiny of form will be kept in abeyance.

Can I have SMS/Supplementary Services/Location Update/Voice SD Traffic counters separately in Nokia.
I need to calculate SD mean holding time for each service separately but cant find the counters.Anybody?
