Dear Sajid,

May be the problem you face with the attenuation on the fiber line.Be sure to calculate your power budget with your fiber link attenuation in mind and then apply any( same or different vendors SFPs).

Dear Sajid,

Distance is not issue while connecting two SFPs of different vendor if we talk about compatibility.

Its their operating wavelengths that should be matched (1310 or 1550 nm)

Also power thresholds/ranges should be kept in mind (power rx should be in SFP range)

dear all experts i want guideline regarding SFP pairing how they become compatible with each other i face many problems while connecting Alcatel OLT with Cisco Router their distance  range is also same.
these are dual strained SFP of Alcatel and cisco,alliedtelesin

dear Umair bhai,
thank you for your technical and valueable comments but problem is that both of them one will be 1550nm SFP while other is 1310 nm SFP their power is measured that is good but link is still down i think there is some compatibility problem with SFP.
 These should be both side 1310 nm, 1550 nm or as mention above which configuration is correct while connecting two machines.
my experience is using 1550(tx) nm followed by 1310(rx) nm

Please note that  in UAE , Low asking salary is not the hiring criteria....If you are able to influence the employer , you might end up getting a  starting salary 15~20k AED. Except for some low profile subcons , Here in Du ETIC the average starting salary is 15000 AED. Even more in  Consultant Companies working with du (20,000~25000 AED)....
Just to cut it short , few subcons manage to get small contracts on low bidding...But this doesn't mean , that  a Job candidate gets preference by asking  for a low salary...Good companies prefer  talent & competency....

One of the hot area with good salary package  is RF  P&O....try to get some experience in it , before coming to UAE.
