Summary of position:
To be responsible for operation and maintenance of Billing Systems, understand billing cycle, able to implement product configuration and pricing. Carryout batch operations in bulk; be flexible in time structure and available in case of system situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform day-to-day O&M of billing systems including System inconsistency rectification, Ensure BRM (Billing & Revenue Management System) reporting KPI, billing issues resolutions; perform customer operations in form of bulk activity.
· Ensure timely execution of trial bills and bill runs with an understanding of billing cycles in current business scenarios, resolving issues/problems faced during the execution proactively.
· Design and implement new reporting requirement emerging for internal customers (business departments) and ensure timely delivery of reports with high level of data accuracy.
· Develop new procedures and quires to subjugate in billing anomalies and increase efficiency of billing system.
· Maintain, monitor, analyze and troubleshoot billing issues, provide break/fix resolution or escalation.
· Actively communicate with internal user within the department regarding ongoing activities and scheduled operations to align all stakeholders beforehand.
· Design new business plans and modify pricing configurations as per change requests provided.
· Conduct UATs of new Products developed by B/OSS team with detail prospective of Quality Assurance
· Work predominantly with established procedures, while testing new knowledge and methodologies.
· Have flexible time structures to provide a call support 24/7 in case of emergency or public holidays.
· Training and mentoring junior level and new employees.
· Ensure high availability of Business & Operational Support Systems
· Ensuring best practices and standards being followed in high level design & architecture
· Development and delivery of new products, packages and add-ons around BRM
· Team skillset development on Oracle BRM
· L1 & L2 support of Billing Issues
· Change Management
· Quality Assurance
Required Competencies:
· Experience and understanding of billing application, solid understanding of Billing Operations and practical experience.
· Mid-level understanding of all billing scenarios (post, pre etc.) and sales types.(Direct, franchisee, retailer etc.)
· Practical experience for at least 1-2 years, preferably in Telco environment (voice/data).
· Acquaintance with Oracle Scripting PL/SQL, Shell or Java (good programing concepts etc.)
· Functional analytical skills with a keen eye on statistics and data figures.
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· BRM Hands on Experience
· Extensive knowledge of Billing, Provisioning & Business Support Systems
Education and/or Experience:
· 1-3 years' experience in a Billing Applications
· Should have at least Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, preferably Master's degree from a reputable University / Institute
