Dear Community Members,
It may be worth noting that for the first time a Pakistani has joined
the Internet Society in an important role "Chapter Development Manger
- Asia and Pacific" at ISOC. Mr. Naveed-Ul-Haq has a long standing of
contributing to ICT and Internet Policy processes in Pakistan. He has
worked for the local telecom regulator and contributed to important
activities such as ICT for Development, IPv6, Internet Governance etc.

Dear All,
I would like to extend my best wishes for 2013. Wish you a very happy new year.
With this email, i would also like to share a good news on change in
my official job role. From today, i am working with the Internet
Society as 'Chapter Development Manger - Asia and Pacific'.
I would be working with ISOC Chapter, their leadership and members to
strengthen and enhance the impact of the Internet Society worldwide in
pursuing its mission.
This indeed is an exciting and challenging role as i look forward to
work with all of you towards the chapter(s) formation process in
Pakistan. The work being underway for ISOC Pakistan Islamabad Chapter
(In formation) will continue with its pace and i would certainly
encourage community members to take a lead on it.
