Jim,
You might want to send this to the boondocking yahoo group
Boondocking@yahoogroups.com
Many times there are people asking for advice on internet connection options
in that group, and some are within a hundred miles or so of you (the slabs,
Qzite, etc). Just a thought, sure would hate to see your equipment end up
in the trash, awaiting some scrap dealers truck. These systems aren't
perfect, but they do serve a purpose, many times the purpose is found when
you're out of cell phone range and need a connection for business or
emergency purposes.

The problem is that the OP listed a "7000" modem. If it's a DW7000, it's too old to be activated on a new account. I don't know if it can be activated as a replacement on an existing account, but I doubt it. So it's really not worth anything. I don't know about the dishes, but I expect those aren't worth much either.
If the OP miswrote and actually has an HN7000S modem, he should say so. Those are still useful.

If I was down there I would pick it up, but I am in WA. Seems someone would want it just for the spare dishes and OPI.

I had a DW7000 early last year and it could not be activated by the VAR.
I carry two HN7000s (one as a spare) and they work fine. I had issues with
the Raven round metal dish years back... I think it lost it's shape form
improper storing in my MH when traveling. The fiberglass .78 has worked very
well.
I am curious what the OPI meter does better than using the laptop DSat tool.
It is difficult on many occasions to see the screen because of the glare
when setting up. Does the OPI make that easier?
