I disagree!
What is the source of income of MySQL? Till it got acquired by Oracle? It remained free for years & is still free.
Advertisement is not the only way to earn.
A lot of companies offer free stuff in the hope of being acquired later on. Competition in software world is so stiff that not all companies are able to win ads. They go for free & hope to be acquired.
Btw, if you work in ISI; dont use Viber to share your plans with your girlfriend. This is just like the TTP using Cellular networks of Pakistan for terrorism. Man! they use sattelite phones :)
