Problem with basic education is mixed system. One for ruling class, (English Medium) and the one for ruled class (Urdu Medium). At the end of the day, English medium's get the better share of the pie and hence get to decide the fate of the system.

The correct approach can either be:

Make English your Mother Tounge. Completely Eliminate Urdu.....Good luck with that

Completely Eliminate English. Everything from Road Signs, Official Docs to Advanced Electromagnetics should all be in Urdu. Tough but possible.

Urdu has a great ability to adopt foreign words as they are. We may not have to even tanslate a lot of scientific terminology and can use them as they are in Urdu.

This translation process will not go on indefinitely. Atlease one generation has to be billingul to translate. Real leaders / pioneers / innovators will come from generation, who had education in their own language, who are not ashamed of their language / accent / dialect / dress / culture and who have NO Inferiority Complex. Eventually, time will come when our own scientists / engineers are producing knowledge / writing papers, journals, books...all in Urdu.

The idea of education in Foreign Language is completely against common sense. Prehaps it will make sense when this billingual system starts producing geneouses like Einstein, Neils Bohar, Shinya Yamanaka etc etc.

btw, local languages like Sariki, Pushto, Punjabi, Sindhi have similar dialect / writing direction / alphabets. Going from Sindhi to Urdu is lot easier than going from Sindhi to English.

I peresonally think ITS A GREAT EFFORT.

I see almost websites of almost ALL the German universities are in German language. Some of them carry English language component as well. My questions are:

Do the natives study in English or German? In particular, the undergrads?

In Germany, is English language a compulsory subject at primary and secondary school levels?

Have theny abondoned publishing engineering and scientific literature in German?

It might seem harsh but even the countries who used to teach in their own language e.g. Germany is moving towards more and more English programmes. Whereas with this effort we are going in the opposite direction.
So therefore, translating English texts into Urdu is not the solution. It is the scientific approach that matters most and the emphasis should be done on primary and secondary level education to impart such approach.

PS: If you are translating texts then I am afraid you have to devise programming languages in URDU and their associated compilers as well.
