A leading Australian communications organisation is currently recruiting a Microsoft Lync Engineer to be based in Perth, Australia. This is a permanent opportunity. Salary and benefits is AU$100k + Car (15k) + 9% bonus which is a Total Remuneration of AU$125,350.
The employer is looking for an experienced Microsoft engineer to work alongside their team of customer-facing solutions architects and consultants. This position would ideally suit someone with 1-2 years of real world experience supporting, designing and implementing Microsoft solutions, with particular emphasis on Exchange Server 2010 and Lync Server 2010. This is both an internal and customer facing role, therefore excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with good presentation skills and a high standard of spoken and written English including report writing and documentation. The ability to work well in a small team, sometimes under pressure, whilst maintaining a good sense of humour should be considered essential attributes for potential applicants.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
* Work alongside senior solution architects on internal and customer facing projects.
* Build and maintain customer relationships.
* Assist the Sales team with technical input at customer meetings.
* Design, install and maintain customer solutions.
* Obtain and maintain required vendor certifications.
* Ability to work with other areas of the business to provide Microsoft integration and trouble shooting skills on UC Vendor applications
Essential Skills Required:
* Microsoft Lync 2010 (essential) Lync Server 2010 including Enterprise Voice
* Microsoft Windows Server 2008
* Microsoft Active Directory , DNS, DHCP, Certificate services
* General Networking (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
* Exchange 2010 (2007 or later)
* Industry certifications (MCITP/MCSE highly regarded)
* Experience in the telephony space will be an added advantage Good basic understanding of IP networking including: routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and associated protocols
* MCTS/MCITP Certification in Lync or Exchange
* Good trouble shooting acumen in working with customer / partner Vendor applications
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Presentation and documentation skills
Advantageous Skills:
* Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later
* Microsoft Certificate Services Cisco/Juniper/Enterasys/Avaya data skills
* VMWare ESX/ESXi
* Microsoft Hyper-V
* IP Security/firewall knowledge
