[pakgrid] CPPG Official launch in Pakistan of UNCTAD's Information Economy Report 2012 (IER 2012) & ICT and Internet Policy Dialogue

and Internet Policy related multilateral activity.

The Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) at Forman Christian
College (A Chartered University) in collaboration with United Nations
Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Geneva cordially invites
you to the official Launch in Pakistan of UNCTAD's Information Economy
Report 2012 (IER 2012): The Software Industry and Developing Countries
followed by a roundtable dialogue on ICT and Internet Policy on
Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 5.00-7.30 p.m. at the Venue: The Rt.
Rev. Bishop Alexander John Malik Public Policy Seminar room E-002,

The Information Economy Report 2012 (IER 2012): The Software Industry
and Developing Countries" a seventh edition in the flagship series
published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
(UNCTAD), emphasizes that ICT trends are creating better opportunities
for developing countries to develop indigenous software capabilities.
As one of few annual reports that monitor global trends related to
information and communication technologies (ICTs) from a development
perspective, the Report is a valuable reference source for
stakeholders.

The ICT Policy Roundtable Dialogue will bring together a
multi-stakeholder gathering of Government and Public Sector, Academia
and Research, Civil Society, and the Private Sector to share their
views on how the findings of IER 2012 inform Pakistan's ICT Policy
process.
