Full-Stack Programmer Opportunity
Skylight Software, Inc. (a Silicon Valley company) has an immediate opening for a software engineer to work in its R&D facility located at NUST/SEECS, Islamabad, Pakistan. A minimum of 1-year hands-on C++ coding experience in the software industry is required. More recent graduates with exceptional coding skills are also encouraged to apply for this position.
This is an ideal opportunity for you if you are a full-stack programmer who loves to code at all levels and all layers of an Internet-based data exchange system. Company is building a new document format for the end-users who are only interested in getting their work done without needing to learn programming or worrying about the underlying technologies & infrastructure.
You must have a deep sense of aesthetics, an inventive spirit, and a strong bias for action to be successful as you will be working side-by-side with a product visionary and a prolific inventor to build a working system including multiplatform client software using some of the latest Internet software technologies.
Qualifications:
· BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering field. A PhD degree is nice to have but is not necessary.
· A solid foundation in computer science theory including state machines coupled with a solid understanding of data structures, patterns including MVC, algorithms, and design of large-scale Internet-based systems using latest open source software technologies.
· Must be a C++ coding ninja with a hacker mindset. Minimum 1‐2 years of heads-down and hands‐on experience of programming and delivering on a complex programming project involving graphical user interfaces in an Internet environment.
· Comfortable in learning new computer languages (including different variants of C++, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Perl, Erlang) and coding in these languages if necessary.
· Must have a Full-stack programmer mindset and be comfortable with playing with pixels in a user interface, packing bits and bytes, counting packets, and measuring CPU/Memory cycles that are required to do an operation in a large Internet-based system involving millions of mobile/PC devices, local servers, servers in the cloud and everything in between.
