Unless the dish itself is damaged badly, I would save the dish, repair any
minor dings with some bondo or epoxy, and rob the electronics off of a newer
dish. If you can find a whole feed arm with electronics included from a grey
fiberglass dish on eBay or through Craigslist or Freecycle, get it. At the
very least, there are normally several radio/LNB units for sale on eBay.

Shipping the electronics or electronics and feed arm w/feed horn, isn't all
that expensive. Shipping of the dish itself and mount (azimuth/elevation
adjuster) is the most expensive part of the shipping. The radio/LNB assembly
from any dish should bolt onto the white dish arm. if my memory serves me
correctly. Worst case, you'd have to add the feed horn from a grey
fiberglass dish.

I think the most desirable dish is the grey fiberglass dish with an
after-market elevation adjuster added. Other than the color, the main
differences between the white and grey fiberglass dishes are the feed horn
and the az/el adapter. The white dish had that hokey factory elevation jack
built into the az/el adapter and it would distort the whole az/el adapter if
any binding at all was encountered. But both of the fiberglass dishes will
take a beating and keep their shape. When you add a knob with threaded stud
to hold the feed arm in place, and cut a slot in the end of the arm, it
makes for the easiest set-up and tear-down of any of the tripod-based
dishes.

I've got a home mount white fiberglass dish with transmitter etc. It has two

TV LNB's, one of those is the 'lipstick' type.

My question is, Is it worth anything, or am I better off sending it to the
landfill?

I only have 2 choices, throw it away or sell it. Me and eBay are not good
friends. I was hoping that someone on this list might want it.
