[pakgrid] PSEB's INCUBATOR PROGRAM

Do you have a great idea and need support to execute it and build it into a viable product or a service? Pakistan Software Export Board, Ministry of Information Technology can support you through its incubator program started in collaboration with the National ICT R&D Fund Company!

We are looking for?
Teams of 1-3 people, "want to be" entrepreneurs;
1 Professionals
2 who have already been in the industry 01-10 or more years.
3 Students in their 3rd year or 4th year who have a promising final year project or otherwise would like to work on a new idea.
4 Anyone who has a decent idea that can change the world or at least make a difference in the life of at least a few thousand other people.
5 Student teams lead by a professor.
6 Any weird combination of the above.

What will we provide?
1 Space to hang out, that is office space with Internet connection, sever, desk, chair and a computer.
2 Seed capital Rs.500,000/- to buy a computer or other equipment.
3 Monthly stipend Rs.15,000/- to cover food and transportation; the rest is your sweat equity.
4 Adult Supervision, that is, two mentors assigned to each company, one technical, one business.

What are the criteria for selection?
1 A promising idea that can get to a product or a working prototype within 6-12 months
2 Mobile Application/Services/Content Development
3 Commercially-viable software or a software utility
4 Software or software utility that is aimed at ICT4D
5 Software, micro-controller system or utility that can serve a commercial purpose or a national need
6 Hardware solutions

Why we think it will work?
1 A dedicated team of advisors will work with you, with at least one monthly face-to- face meeting and one fortnightly phone call meeting.
2 The advisors will be accomplished individuals who are either good technologists or successful business persons. They will help you shape your idea, help with tricky technical problems and make your product/service viable.
3 We believe mentorship is the most important ingredient of a successful Incubator, facilities coupled with smart advice.

I shall appreciate, if 07-10 minutes video presentation is mailed to me at skorai@pseb.org.pk & incubator@pseb.org.pk along-with the project proposal. You need to answer the following question in your video presentation. You are encouraged to use slides, graphics and charts to share the data;

A brief overview of the proposed product and service (1 mins Max)
A brief intro to your team (1 Min Max)
What is the customer problem that your company is solving ? (1 min)
What is the economic benefit of solving that customer problem / the value proposition, expressed in numbers ? (1 min)
List 10 prospective customers of your product ? (30 sec.)
Who at the customer has the pain / owns that problem ? (1 min)
Who are your major competitors and what differentiate you ? (1 min)
