A boutique strategy and policy consulting firm has a number of positions at their Islamabad office to engage as Research Assistants, Research Specialists, and Associate and Snr. Consultants for a number of different opportunities in the following domains:
a) Public Policy Design and Impact Assessment
b) Economic, Market, and Industry Research
c) ICT for Development, in particular ICT-enabled Learning
d) Technology and Innovation Management
e) Science and Innovation Policy
The selected candidates will work closely with a Senior Researcher / Team Leader in delivering quality outputs, client engagement, designing, conducting/directly supervising field research activities including workshops, focus group discussions and quantitative surveys, carrying out background research and assist in producing reports and documents. Associate Consultants will also participate in direct client engagement and Senior Consultants may support direct business development activities within the company.
Indicative Requirements for each of these positions are:
Research Assistant - Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, or Social Science Discplines, 1-2 years of experience would be preferred
Research Specialist - Masters Degree in Business, Economics, or Social Science Discplines, 1-2 years of experience would be preferred
Associate/Consultant - Masters Degree in Business, Economics, or Social Science Discplines, 3-4 years of relevant (consulting or industry) experience would be preferred
Senior Consultant - Masters Degree in Business, Economics, or Social Science Discplines, 5+ years of relevant (consulting or industry) experience would be preferred
Individuals with first degrees in Technology (Engineering) and second degree in Business or Social Sciences would be preferred, particularly for domain areas c), d) and e). However, they must demonstrate the ability to grasp policy and organisational issues.
Excellent Communications ability - both verbal and writtten - is a must.
Detail oriented individuals who are self-starters and can work without supervision would be preferred.
Experience of working with a statistical analysis software (SAS, STATA, SPSS) and carrying out data analysis would be a strong plus.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. We would prefer a full-time position but can work with a part-time opportunity with the right candidate.
