I just got a new system that is on this new gen4 satellite 117 I think. I had a dustyfoot system and i could set it up with out any help when we moved around . But it when out the man that i got it from stop selling them for some reason. So it just set here for about two years. Then the other day this guy came by my house asked if i would like to sell my old system or let him set me up with a new one that worked on this new gen4 system. So I let him put me in a new dish and new modem and router. He got it up and running in about 20 mins. but told me he need to come back and install some more solfwear on it and to show me how to set it up when we moved it around from place to place. I have not seen him yet or been able to call him. So I"m wanting to know if there is one place on the net that you installers use to set up a system. like commissioning the system again. So i can use this junk agin when we move around . I know there are people out there that do this type of things. So if you can help me out,let me know. Thanks alot Chester White

The HT1000 modem is the Gen4 Ka-band modem. It is NOT portable. You cannot move it and re-aim it your self. Every setup requires a technician and re-registration with Hughes.

If you were planning on using this with a tripod while RVing, you're out of luck.
