Re: [pakgrid] LUMS vs Hoodbhoy: I’m losing job for ‘ideological reasons’, says professor

Dear Dr. Tariq Mahmood,

I am not sure why you are so concerned about this discussion, at least people should know what real cause behind this decision. Usually, in Pakistan management have this behavior of imposing egotistic decisions and  very little patient for other views/ideas.
I think every one should respect other views and ideas. There should be a difference between intellectual community and bureaucracy.
No one should  impose his /her views on others. By spreading this information, no one is going to hurt  or at least no one is going to lose his/her job. If some thing happens often, that does not make it right.

Dear Shiraz,

I don't think it is reasonable to discuss such issues on this forum. LUMS has made a decision and Hoodbhoy is fighting for it. It happens in other universities also.

You will only invite different types of arguments, predictions, and conjunctures with no concrete output. Its best to keep this forum restricted to exchange of information and knowledge. Thanks.
