[pakgrid] Ph.D. and postdoc positions‏

 

 

The information systems group of Saarland University is offering six Ph.D. and postdoc positions in a new project to start Nov 1, 2011. The project is in the area of OctopusDB, a new 'on size fits all' adaptive database system.

Requirements:
- fluent in Java and/or C++
- experience in system-oriented software development
- team-oriented working style 
- interest in and fun crunching big data

Salary:
- for the Ph.D and postdoc positions: E13
- in addition: one postdoc position with extended project management responsibilities: E14
- all positions are full time, for one year (extendible to 3 years)
