A postdoc position (12 months) on "Spatial Datawarehouse" is available from the beginning of January 2011 at the TETIS lab (Montpellier, France) in the Data Mining group (http://tetis.teledetection.fr/).
This postdoc is part of the national project Fresqueau under the ANR 2010 program.
This project explores the knowledge discovery process for heteregenous hydrologic data.
The partnership consists of 4 research groups: Water analysis group at LHYGES (Lyon), algorithmic group at LSIIT (STrasbourg) and data mining group at LIRMM (Montpellier) and Geoinformation for Environment TETIS. Work will be realized in close cooperation with these partners.
Moreover, regular visits at TSCF laboratory (Sandro Bimonte - Clermont Ferrand) and IRD (Laure Berti - Aix-en-Provence) will be particularly envisaged.
The selected researcher will investigate the following aspects:
- Spatial data integration
- Modeling and design of spatial data warehouse
- Design of (Spatial) OLAP methods
Applicants must have strong skills in the following areas:
- Spatial Data
- Extraction Transformation Loading (ETL)
- Spatial data warehouse
- (Spatial) OLAP

The position is open from the 1st of January 2011, the funding is available for up to 1 year (at least 1800 euros net monthly salary). The starting date will be extended until a suitable candidate
will be found. The position is located at Montpellier in the south of France.
