Assalam,

Hope every one is doing gud. Its very difficult to go through or to revise all of ur subjects, u hv studied in ur engineering. The only thing remained in ur mind is only the concepts. If u hv done ur engineering by clearing ur concepts then u will never need to revise ur subjects. And if someone really wants to increase ones knowledge and to improve his concepts....best thing is to teach someone. by doing this one can also get latest knowledge as well as improve its basic concepts. The technology is now flowing like a river and the technology u hv studied in your engineering will always got older and older, but the basics remained the same. So by teaching someone is the best solution to remain up to date with the latest technology and to improve ur basic concepts.

Now the point comes to the interviews and tests. In interviews and tests....companies only judge u with ur concepts....not by some bookish questions. so best trick to clear ur tests and interviews try to clear ur concepts as much as possible, in the field u want to go.....like Telecom, Networking, Power, Electronics....etc..etc.....!! And to improve ur concepts in ur relevant field try to remain in touch with the people who are in the field u r interested in.

hope it will help u people.

My teacher told me to revise the subjects so that I may not loose the knowledge. These are two different POV's. My personal Opinion is that One can't always remember up to date with their Past Knowledge; not every thing you have studied is of help in Practical field. It is better to actually select a specific field of interest (like Networks; etc) and then focus on that. Do Not Attempt to Be a Jack of All n Master on None.

Entry tests cover a variety of subjects/Fields. Obviously one can't get a firm grip on all, but you should be aware of the general terminologies, the basics should we call it. I recommend a Book by Author "E. Handa"titles "Electronics Engineering". This book covers almost all of the topics of Electronics Engineering along with Telecommunications including Satellite communication, Modulation, Microwaves etc. This author also has the title "Electrical Engineering", which may be of good help given any preparation is required.

AOA..
thanks for the response every 1.
last year I appeared for ptcl mto (engineer) test but couldn't make it. I don't know if i wasn't able to clear the test or there was the same issue of references, but the test had questions from electrical, electronics, telecommunication, computer and IT.
When one apply for a entry level jobs like the one above how should one prepare thn?

regards
Sarah.
