TechArete is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and help grow the company's business. The role will have responsibility for the vision, leadership, and implementation of overall technology strategy. This position will require a passionate, business-oriented technology leader who can provide strategic direction in the design and development of major technical initiatives. The position will also require active participation in product/service development as the offering evolves. Therefore it is important that applicant must be a solid software architect, experienced programmer, web application developer, and debugger. The CTO will be co-responsible for all technical aspects of the business and will manage any technical resources or team members as the company grows. The position requires supervisory/management experience and the flexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels; internally including other senior executive staff, and externally – Clients, auditors, vendors and industry associations.
Responsibilities
· Execute projects from scratch, including: business requirements, system requirements, coding, QA, timely deployment, performance monitoring and documentation
· Ensure sound architectural designs are employed and advocate for best practices and processes.
· Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company's services
· Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all hardware
and web-based services
· Select and manage staff of developers to ensure on time delivery and exceptional quality of product and service for customers
· Assist in recruiting world-class technical talent and help to create and foster an environment conducive to innovation, high productivity, and high quality.
· Assist the senior management team in crafting the Company's holistic growth and organizational management strategies.
Skills and Requirements
· Ability to understand user requirements and develop specifications
· Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
· Hands-on coding experience in more than one currently popular web application framework
· Skilled in .NET, PHP, MySQL and other related technologies in the same stack.
· Familiarity with Mobile application development, both for Android and iPhone.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· 5+ year experience of software development.
Education
· BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
