Minimum Education:           BS, BE, MCS (Telecommunications/Electronics/Computer Systems)

Job Purpose:

 

·         24x7 IP Network monitoring, fault management, service provisioning, troubleshooting and reporting.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

·         IP Network Operations in 24 x 7 environment

·         Network Monitoring and fault management

·         IP network and customer Service provisioning, troubleshooting

·         Level 2/Level 3 support to internal / external customers

·         Configuration and provisioning of Routers / Switches

·         Unix System operations and troubleshooting

 

Position Complexity/Challenges:

 

·         Monitoring & Fault Management of large and complex IP network

·         Operation, administration, Maintenance of Core IP Network

·         Customer services configuration and provisioning for Layer 2 VPN, Layer 3 MPLS VPN, Internet / IP Transit

·         Level 2/Level 3 Support to internal / external customers for IP Technology & Services

·         Coordination with other departments for second and third level support and service delivery

·         Onsite and Outstation network provisioning, maintenance and troubleshooting

·         Customer visits for consultancy and technical solutions

 

Required Skills:

 

·         Concepts and hands-on experience of IP Network functionality, equipment and services

·         Understanding of Network Operations, Fault Management & reporting, Basic systems operations, Routers/Switches configuration & administration

·         Valid vendor certifications will be a plus.
