The Department of Computer Science at the University of New Orleans invites applications for the position of IT Director. Qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. This position is responsible for all computer hardware and software in Computer Science and Mathematics, including servers, networking, desktops, and thin clients. Candidate must have experience with UNIX administration (Solaris and Linux), Windows administration, SAN/NAS administration, VMware vSphere administration, infrastructure design, and datacenter management. Candidate should be comfortable managing DNS, DHCP, NIS, NFS, and Sun Ray servers. Candidate should be fluent at the UNIX command line, in at least one programming language, and in SQL.
