Good point. Especially if you have a system that is up and working,
Hughesnet will update your personal settings in your modem automatically
(but not the config file).
When you really want the new config file is when you are about to commission
a new or used modem or fire-up a modem that hasn't been used in several
weeks.

While this should be done from time to time, it does not have to be done
every time a new update comes out.

Sounds like a good thing to me, on the rocks will work, depending on
what it is. I have
been running satellite internet since 1/2006. I finally did an upgrade
of the config file.
Hope I didn't screw up my good luck but its too late now.
