In the context of an FWF research project, the Software Architecture Research Group (Prof. Dr. Uwe Zdun) at the Faculty of Computer Science is looking for highly motivated research assistants (PhD candidates). We are offering an excellent working environment in a young, creative, highly motivated, and international team.

Degree of Employment: 30 hours/week

Duties include: Participation in research projects; project management, if qualified; publication of research results; contributing to research proposals; development of scientific prototypes; empirical evaluation.

Research topics are: Software Architecture and Software Design, in particular Software Component Modeling, Empirical Software Engineering

Profile:
Successfully completed master in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related area.

Excellent English language skills. Strong motivation to work in a team environment. Strong motivation to publish in top refereed conferences/journals.
Perseverance, focus, integrity, ability to make things done, leadership in organization and partnership/communication with other project teams.
Excellent knowledge and interest in programming and software design.
Excellent knowledge and interest in one or more of the research topics listed above.
Proven interest in scientific work and in scientific publishing.
Knowledge in empirical evaluation and statistics.
