Job description:
The research assistant will work on a major funded research project with international collaborators in implementing specific research ideas in the area of high performance computing, specifically in transactional memory. Primary duties include: code design, implementation, and results evaluation. Additional duties may include accurately completing all required documentation, maintaining regular communication with project leaders and collaborators, and disseminating timely reports on significant results.
To be considered for this post, candidates must have the following:
* A master degree in computer science or computer engineering.
* Excellent Java and/or C++ software development skills in the Linux environment.
* Ability to rapidly familiarize with large, complex software packages.
* Excellent technical English written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to function autonomously in a collaborative team.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with strong attention to detail, and excellent time management and reporting skills.
