Well but it depends upon the organization where you will be working as NOC Engineer. As Telenor, Mobilink etc has heavy load compared to only LL Operators.

Thanks

Wa Alaikum As Salam!

You must possess the basic knowledge of GSM (GSM structure, interfaces etc). Try to understand the "job description" of a NOC Engineer, in case you don't know the JD of this job, let me know I'll provide you with it. For this job, you must be a person who is hardworking and good at handling multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks. You need to be hardworking because this job requires working for long hours (12 hours approx).

Regards,

Ahsan

Dear,

Difinetly this test will be GAT type test(2hrs Time/100 MCQs).But the contents of the test will be based on your Subject area(e.g telecom,MBA,BCS etc...),whatever you have studied in your graduation/DAE etc. Moreover you should prepare yourself for some Verbal English/General Knowledge/Current affairs which could also be the part of the test.

Speed & accuracy is the only skill for the success in this task.

You can expect a lot of  candidates for every discipline in the test and the internships will be limited,so prepare yourself to take as more marks as you can to qualify yourself for the interview and selection.

NOTE: Passing marks has no meaning for these type of recruitment tests.

Best Regards,
Salman Shakir
Telecom Engineer

MS (IT) or ME (Computer Science) from FAST will be more better rather than MS (Telecom). No matter you are from telecom, you can proceed ahead your career in IT industry. Because job market of Telecom is very poor and need a lot of sources and references for a little internship in telecom company. FAST university has great popularity in IT industries in Karachi. I suggest you to go for IT.

But if you have already got job in Telecom Sector then go for masters in Telecom. I can't suggest you good university for telecom.

How to calculate Call setup time from logfile using excel
Posted: 04 Jun 2012 10:10 PM PDT

Here is the detailed procedure:

1) Open TEMS and export log file in text format (.FMT file) by selecting L2 and L3 messages.
2) open text file (.FMT file) in excel and look for "Events" column.
3) Apply filter on "Events" column and filter "Call setup"
4) After filter you will see something like this in next column: "MO call setup time 1234ms, user time 5678ms"
5) So the MO call setup time is 1234ms is your call setup time
