Subject: IEEE-SEECS Chapter hosted IEEEXtreme International Competition

IEEEXtreme is an international level 24 hour programming competition that takes place annually. IEEEXtreme 6.0 started on 20th October at 12am and ended on 21st October at 12am. This year, IEEE-SEECS Chapter played host to the competition and provided the participants a suitable environment where they could continuously code.
28 participants in 12 teams registered for the event with IEEE-SEECS. Most of the students were from SEECS but there were also teams from outside SEECS-NUST who came for the event. 6 teams comprising a total of 11 members from universities as far as UET Peshawar and UET Taxila participated in IEEEXtreme through IEEE-SEECS.
Participants started pouring in at 4:30am and the event kicked off at exactly 5:00am local time. Recreational facilities including table tennis and badminton were provided to the participants, in case they wanted to break from extensive hours of coding. Refreshments were also available outside the lab.
The event ended at 5am (UTC+5) on 21st October with Team Slackers from SEECS scoring 1st position in Pakistan and 396th in the world! The team members were Abdul Moeed Khalid, Hassan Abid and Syed Imad ud Din. Also all other teams ranked very high in the country. 3Bytes (SEECS), Namespace (SEECS) and UET2k11 (UET Peshawar) stood amongst the TOP TEN in the country!
