[pakgrid] Re: How Solar Cells are made at home....? Green Energy Awareness Campaign

Dear Aslam o Alaikum
My fyp is a research project on increasing the pv panel out put paper was published in IRENEC in 2012
Well my experience says it is no possible to make solar cells at home . But you can assemble them at home to form PV panels by your self . First you need to know how work with apparatus ( I am not confirm it's heat Gun it's not soldering gun) then you need solar cells , you can easily import them , then you need a silvery metal lining , I am not confirm that it is available in market and what is its name. Well you need it for inter-connections of cells , Importantly you need to connect lot of cells in both series and parallel . So for structure you need Metal ( Aluminium ) frame . A good plain glass for covering and a fiber sheet which holds cells these three structural parts are usually joined bu silicon rubber easily available . And finally you need a connection box as you want . I found a feed back protection circuit in my PV panel connection box . Well if you done properly then you are ready to blow or you be the Addision :P
Soldering on solar cells is Tricky which i know from other ... and solar cells are brittle too .
God Bless You.
