Emerging technologies at College of EME NUST, established with the vision to promote R & D activity and equip students with professional skills, in collaboration with NUST Volunteer Club and Alumni Liaison Committee provides great learning opportunity to students in form of summer workshops. Details of the workshops are as follows

• For those who are into Industrial Control Systems, Burraq Integrated Solutions is offering a certification on PLC and SCADA (CAPS). June 17 to 21, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Registration fee for Emenents and Nustians: Rs. 6000

Registration fee for outsiders: Rs. 7500

• Interested in product design and development? Mr. Talha Shahid (Faculty APCOMS) is offering a workshop on Pro-E. June 22 to 23, from 10 am to 2 pm.

• Which engineer doesn't know how to work with MATLAB? If you don't, you MUST. And this is why, Sajid Gul Khawaja (Faculty CE Dept EME) is offering a workshop on MATLAB. June 24 to 28, from 9 am to 2 pm.

• Umer Farooq will be teaching LabVIEW, an easy to use interactive, graphical programming language in our workshop on Lab VIEW. June 24 to 25, from 4 pm to 7 pm.

• PIC Microcontrollers are quickly replacing computers when it comes to programming robotic devices. Mr. Ameer Hamza(Faculty SEECS-NUST) is offering a workshop on PIC Microcontroller. July 1 to 5, from 10 am to 2 pm.

• Web Development will continue to rule as long as the World Wide Web survives. Absar ul Hassan is offering a workshop on Web Development. July 1 to 6, from 9 am to 2 pm.

• For students interested in robotics or software development,Mr. Arsalan Akhtar(Faculty CE EME) will be teaching in our workshop on Robot Operating Systems. July 5 to 6, from 9 am to 1 pm.

• If you've mastered the basics of framing, shooting, and taking a photograph, try taking it further. Xyra raza , A female photographer in Islamabad is offering a workshop in photography on 18,19 June from 4pm to 7pm

• ETL is also conducting a 2 days workshop on Media Graphics including one day for Photoshop and one day for Videography.

22nd - 23rd June, from 10am to 3pm. Registration fee 1500 for both. For those who are interested in attending just one workshop, registration fee would be 1000 Rs.

• OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is a library of programming functions mainly aimed at real-time computer vision,

The library is cross-platform. It focuses mainly on real-time image processing.
