Sept 2012, I place my account on vacation.
March 2013, I cancelled my services AND account.
It is now June, we have found out, we are stilled being billed.
Manager services says they have on record, me saying yes, I will take a 1 month free while THINKING about cancelling.
We live in MESA, AZ. I stated to the rep, why would I think about cancelling when we have mayor internet services.
Needless to say, we are in dispute right now with Hughes net, and are disputing all bills back to May. By the way, even talking to a manger, says there is nothing they - this is CRAP.

Check to see if the FCC regulates satellite communication. I assume they do,
but cannot be certain. Then go online with the FCC and fill out a complaint.
You need to go right up front with your version of this original
communication. It helps if you can identify every day that you have written
or called them, and your reasoning for the discontinue in the first place.
Understand that the FCC tends to go with any big company who claims NOT to
have a record of any communication and so on. They like to close out a
dispute in the big company's favor. However, your line of reasoning and
being first on top of this is in your favor. Oh, and by the way, these
companies do not like having a record of complaints.
And whatever you do, do not let them know in advance you are going to the
FCC. You don't want them getting their ducks in a row ahead of time, or
worse, reporting you as a chronic complainer before you ever get to the FCC.
If the FCC does not honor your claim, they will usually advise you of your
right to take this to civil court. Sometimes you have the advantage of an
inexpensive small claims court that is a big nuisance to the communications
company, and certainly not something they need on their public record.
