RE: [pakgrid] Electric machines book in urdu by pakistani professor

very good effort.

I grew up in schools and colleges listening lectures on the importance of english; people saying 'in todays age of computer, you cant learn/live/progress without english'; I somehow attached learning english to the development of science and nation.

This perception fell vertically when I visited South Korea for studies. From computer operating systems to mobiles phones, from ATM machines to all advanced electronic gadgets, from bachelors report to PhD thesis, they had developed everything in their own language. vow!

I dont even remember when was the last time I had to write a complete sentence in urdu with my hands. we speak one language and write another, think in one language and try to express in another. Dont think we can go anywhere with this.

regards,
latif

Very good effort at writing technical books in Urdu. Some terms are really innovative such as translation of reluctance, vector, cross product, coils, wave etc.

AOA,
Attached is the electric machines book written in urdu by a professor at COMSATS. This book should be really helpful to students who are from urdu medium background and difficulty in understanding concepts in english. A nice effort to promote technology in our mother tongue.

Note: the password to open the book is  "urdu".
