I thought this was the forum to rant if one needed or wanted to? If someone
is not happy with the service they have just as much right to say something
as those who are grateful for the few crumbs of customer service Hughes does
provide..like you said it is what it is and it sure doesn't make everyone
happy.
Thanks..forgive me for ranting. I am SO mobile that I am VERY often in
places with NO cell service. So Hughes is what I have...

Hopefully, this is NOT a rant forum but rather a forum where people can
discuss finding solutions to problems, answers to questions and help from
other users. Rants don't do much to help anyone including the poster.

If someone has a complaint about their service they should take it up with their service provider. This group is NOT the service provider. Those of us that use satellite internet (Starband or Hughes) use it because it suits our life style or needs. If it is not suiting you, you need to try something else and not get on a soap box on this forum. This forum is here to help those that need help and to ask for help if you have a question or problem with satellite internet as it pertains to RVing. Most problems can be solved by looking through the old posts or looking through the files. I hate to put people on moderation but I will if I think it serves the best interest of the group. Once on moderation your posts may take up to 24 hours to be approved or rejected. Over all I am very happy with the way this group handles itself.
We are blessed to have several people that follow this forum that have the answers to most questions that come up. I don't want them to have to wade through a bunch of non sense to get to the legitimate problems that they could help with. I fear we would loose the knowledge base if we allow off topic posts and rants.
I must admit that I have not done a good job of keeping the files up to date, I just don't have the time to devote to this that Ray had. Anyone that would like to help with some of this is welcome to contact me at Beadknot@Yahoo.com .
OK, I am done and back to lurking.

Sure rub it in ... my tech did not get my dish back to me before I left for
the winter.. ( he has had it for 5 months now and knew I was leaving on the
18th) Not sure how much it will cost me to get across the boarder.. if he
ever looks at it
