RE: [pakgrid] Academic Alert

I don't think that Pakistan is big enough market for technical books. India is too big a market and that is why the technical books are being published.
International publishers such as John Wiley, McGraw-Hill are also involved in publishing books by Indian authors.
There are not many western authors in traditional engineering areas. Even if those books are published in the west, it is more likely that the authors are of Asian background Indian, Egyptian, Chinese etc.

AOA Dr Sb,

I hope you are in good health.

Maybe one of the solutions is that experienced instructors like you and others start writing books which are comprehensive enough to challenge Indian published books. With this activity, demand for Indian substandard books would automatically subside and our local publishing houses would be able to market our local content abroad + our local authors woudl gain international and national recognition which is due to many. Thanks.

Usman.

Dear Readers
Please note and spread information to concerned electrical engineering teachers and students to refrain choosing Indian Published Books. I chose WIND POWER book for MS students last semester but found so many mistakes in equations, concepts and problems. We decided eventually to change book. Saeed Book Bank and Mirza Book Agency are home of

1. Indian substandard books avoid reading as text book
2. Foreign Policy Books spreading disinformation such as vortex of conflict, Pakistan
cauldron, and so many other geopolitical books.....

Unfortunately 99.99% electrical engineering PhD are telecom and computer experts. In many private and public sector universities material science background teachers teach electrical engineering courses. They do not know the difference therefore recommend students easy/simple Indian written books.

Book shops are full of Indian writer books that is academic attack on our institutions. Western authors may be very very bad people in politics but they are fair in technical writings. They got this chance for acute shortage of power electrical engineers in Pakistan. My job done now over to you......
