Dear All,

As far as i concern each n every organization look upto strong refrence as well.. last year i applied at PTCL MT System Networks short list and then conduct my interview too m selected as well but after some time they just inform me that the budget is not so good and the openings of MT is postponed due to this ..

Now, my question is to every 1 m from NED have good percentage 74 % / CGPA (3.2 )with work experinence in National Bank of Pakistan as system Administrator currently i worked with P-series servers on AIX platform so all of you guys what do u expect imean if PTCL will appoint me as MT i can definately work as a good team with PTCL so y did they do that if there is some budget issue or something else so why did they conduct test and then interview and then final selection...

All of my friends , the answer is just " SOURCE " unfortunately i dont have.. and if any 1 have any doubt do confirm there interview conducted date and my name Tauseef Ahmed

Dear Tauseef,

I have been with PTCL for two years. I was appointed as MT in July2009 and left recently on August 5.

Let me tell you that every MT/AM is given under GM/RGM, then upon his recommendations promotions/demotions/suspension/termination occur. Our MT Batch-07 consisting of 100 employees, now working on Engineer/AM/Managerial positions have never experienced this recession (which you are telling) despite of our job also being contractual.

I believe you have been terminated silently on recommendations of your GM/RGM (reasons may be unknown) because higher management does what is being recommended to him. They only know you through your GM.

As far as source is concerned, I have not applied it (because I dont have any) at any turn in PTCL and successfully completed my tenure in good position.

Inshort, Plz dont disheart the ones who want to apply. Everyone is free to apply without being dishearted and InshaAllah Allah will do what is better. Moreover, dishearting someone is a good technique to reduce competition.

My advise to all fresh engineering graduates: Plz apply, keep good hope& do not get dishearted whosoever says anything!!!

I have worked in PTCL on same position, yaqiin karo yaaar koi aik kaaam bhi engineer wala nhi hy.....but i will encourge all to try because kuch na hony sy kuch hona behtar hy....ha agr Pakistan internet Exchange ya NOC my hojata hy to bhai jannat hy Networks Engineer walo k lea....agr exchanges my hua to bus customers ko call krty raho gy or jaali faults clear karo gy.

Yes u r right, SNGPL has issued letters for interview, also they have sent emails to successful candidates to submit the attested copies of documents to their office till 23 august.

BTW the merit for junior engineer was really high, i think they just called the ppl who got above 75 marks,

what was ur result?
Mine was 70 but didn't get a call.

TC messages are intelligent network side messages. If STP is sending request to USSD gateway and in return it is receiving TC abort message from USSD gateway than definitely it is to be checked at USSD gateway side why they are sending abort messages in response to the request send by STP.
Besides if you can share the traces, it would be helpful to find the root cause of the problem.

Dear Samir,
- FER does impact the voice quality. Increased FER will lead to voice break as more frames are being erased.
- If DTX is being used, even 100% FER is not bad (obviously that shouldn't be for too long or RLT timer will expire and call will eventually drop). For non-DTX case, the more FER increases, the worse the voice quality becomes.
- FER may increase as BER increases because there are more chances of critical bits being in error. And BER increases due to interference or low RxLev.
