Minhal,
I went through same dilemma. I did Electronics Engg and decided to go for software engg. I wont say it was difficult but all courses in Master degree are advance therefore you need to have basic knowledge of those courses as well. Like Database, Software Engg etc. Eventually I had to transfer to Comp engg. There I find subjects more related to my field (Electronics).
It is my personal opinion, if you have experience working in any software house than you can try for software engg otherwise I will suggest you should go for Comp Engg.
Yes, in Pakistan you will find a job if are from computer sciences field.

assalam o alaikoum
hope every one of you is fine and enjoying his life to the fullest. I graduated last January in Telecom Engineering and really suffered by the job market here in Pakistan.I am now planning for a MEng or MS in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. I just wanted to know if I have good prospects in case I go with a MEng/MS in computer Engineering or Software Engineering..?

On behalf of our client, a major and fast growing Telecom company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for FTTX network designerfor contract or permanent based in the Poland, Hungary, and Sweden.
Responsibilities:
· Work for large-scale and important FTTX project in both pre-sales and post-sales phase .as a network designer even technical director, responsible for the whole technical part of FTTX service.
· Be responsible for supporting all the work below:maintaining good relationship with customers, identify the important customer and market trend, analyze sales opportunity and inception for FTTX network design and implementation services, and develop the service strategy on local market, reach the sales goal.
· During pre-sales phase, as an important role of market development and sales work with account manager and product manager, organize service resources, join the negotiation with customer, lead their tender writing, undertake the responsibility of FTTX technical solution, planning, SOW, quotation, support delivery plan making, contract item making, check and review key milestones and risk point of project, as well as prepare the bidding documents, clarify ideas and negotiate with customer. Support to monitor project progress, guarantee documentation quality, competitiveness of proposal, contract quality and responsible for profitability and deliverability of project.
· During post-sales phase as a technical leader, take charge of network planning, technical management and solve other technical issues, coordinate subcontractors and customer, and help control project cost, schedule and quality. Understand the SOW of contract and exact customer requirement, output technical solution, help control and monitor network planning and project implementation. As well as be responsible for FTTX project acceptance and revenue.
Job Requirement
· Bachelor's degree or above.
· Minimum of3+years Experience in optical network design, implementation and project management, herein 1+ years Experience in FTTX network development.
· Familiar with fix network structure, a deep awareness of fix network moving steps or network technical or network solution.
· Be accomplished in optical transmission network and optical access network. Familiar with PON theory, engineering materials ,design standard, tools and specifications, a deep awareness of whole FTTX network and other main providers FTTX solutions, product characteristics, network features.
· Familiar with main optical cables, optical components, ODN products, such as division box/closure/fiber distribution terminal/splitter etc. Familiar with corresponding industry standard and criterion to apply to making whole FTTX solutions.
· It would be better if familiar with the project management method, that is to say familiar with large-scale, integrated communication construction project procedures and quality management method, etc. Good at finding and solving problems, and has a good sense of balancing and controlling a project.
· With common knowledge of relevant laws, business, finance, and bidding experience.
· Expected to undertake considerable travel in course of duties.
