Completely agree with Mr. Khalid. Since ur an Electronic Engineer so Master in Computer Science will be the correct choice. As i understand you would already have covered some of the basic level course in your bachelors. However, if you go for Software Engineering with out any prior educational/ Industry experience in software it would be very difficult.

Minhal,I went through same dilemma. I did Electronics Engg and decided to go for software engg. I wont say it was difficult but all courses in Master degree are advance therefore you need to have basic knowledge of those courses as well. Like Database, Software Engg etc. Eventually I had to transfer to Comp engg. There I find subjects more related to my field (Electronics). It is my personal opinion, if you have experience working in any software house than you can try for software engg otherwise I will suggest you should go for Comp Engg. Yes, in Pakistan you will find a job if are from computer sciences field. ------------ --------- -Regards, Khalid A Chaudhry92 321 525 4660

dear Khalid Choudry,
thank you very much for your response.
Yes you are right that the subjects for Software Engineering are much more advanced and hence one should have good command over its basics. I have not yet worked in a software house but I do have good programming skills thanks to my interest in programming. Any way I am thinking that I should go for Computer Engineering. At least it is much more relevant to my degree.
The question I wanted to ask is that if Computer Engineering can provide me a good opportunity within the Telecom Engineering Scope.
thanks a lot
regards,
S.M. Ali Minhal
