Call for PhD Applications in Information Technology Engineering @ POLIMI
IT PhD Program
Our PhD course in Information Technology offers advanced training and
research activity in the fields of Computer Science, Electronics, Systems
and Control, Telecommunications:
90 positions, most of which are covered by scholarship from public
Institutions, private Companies or by the Department.
At DEI, young students graduated in scientific disciplines can find an
international and stimulating environment, where core research goes in
parallel with interdisciplinary initiatives.
The joint projects with renowned international research institutions make
it easier to enter the world of international research, thanks to
interaction with scientific personalities and visiting periods in
laboratories worldwide.
Call for applications
The call for applications is available on PhD School website
(http://www.polimi.it/phd) and the deadline is May 25, 2012. The PhD
Program starts in November 2012 or, for those students graduated after
October 2012, on January 2013. Please refer to the official call for
details on the application procedure and requirements.
Preliminary contacts among applicants and faculty members of DEI are
highly encouraged. Please take a look at the list of professors of the
department, at their personal web pages and at the research labs on the
DEI website.

The Department of Electronics and information (DEI) is one of the largest
European ICT departments, for size and for scientific production. The
research is the main goal of departmental activities and is conducted
according to the highest international standards.
