Finally I have a problem for the first time in 10 years of traveling. I just set up in a new location, aced the satellite (99 West),used Dons Point 4020 program, the modem rebooted and I ended up with 4 lights. The system light did not come up. I opened the modem page and found a flag on the TCP Op Status (Not Operational) Looked further and found I was not transmitting. I have switched the arm and transmitter, replaced cables and some connectors, rebooted the modem several times and nothing changed. I consulted my guru and he thinks it's the modem. Anybody have any additional thoughts? Thanks, John Ess

More likely it's just a Hughes issue. Where are you currently located?
Have you tried using Don's current tools instead of the old 4020? DSSatTool
and PC-OPI?

Have you tried doing a force ranging routine?

I have tried force ranging with no success as it will not transmit. The 4020 has always worked fine so I've left it in place. Lastly, I really would like to think it's a Hughes issue but I've been sitting on it for 2 days now with no changeand I'm very reluctant to do the India dance. Thanks Bill for your prompt response....John Ess

If it won't transmit, then focus on your transmit side: transmit cables and
connectors, transmitter, and finally, the modem.
