I have the cover, tattered and decrepit, on my unit still. But the
plastic feedhorn window started leaking years ago and no matter how I
tried to fix it, I never could get it to stay fixed. So my solution is to
tie a Wal-Mart shopping bag over the whole shebang and it's good to go.
Keeps the rain out, has that hillbilly homestead ambiance and is free.
Actually I tie two bags, one over the other. Then every several months I
tear them off and replace them because of sun rot. I've never had any
issues since I started doing this years ago. Keeps the tax collector
away, too.

No one "took over". MotoSAT is still MotoSAT and the Datastorm is still
built and sold by MotoSAT.
What has changed is that MotoSAT lost their VAR status and Hughes
transferred all of the Hughes accounts that had previously been managed by
MotoSAT and have been managed by RTC in Kilgore, TX since Feb. 1st.

What's the name of that company out in East Texas that took over for
Datastorm?
