[pakgrid] PhD position in Process Management‏

 

 The Department of Computer Science at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) has an open PhD position in the Database and Information Systems group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Jablonski.

Description:
Position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until filled. It is fully paid according to the German regulation TV-L E13. The position is limited to 2 years but may be extended for 2 more years.
Candidates are expected to work within the research group on creating an extensible Process Management System that supports different semantics for the constructs of a process modeling language. Basis for this development is a perspective oriented modeling approach developed within this research group in the past years. Besides that we expect a high interest in other research activities of the chair that span over all phases of the process lifecycle.

Criteria:
Applicants must have a Master degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with very good grades. They are expected to have knowledge of databases and/or process management systems as well as strong implementation skills (preferably Java). Good communication skills in English, written as well as oral, are required since applicants are expected to participate in teaching activities of the group (5 hours per week). Knowledge of German language is not required.
