People tend to forget that us travelers using Hughes internet are an
incidental market with little to no volume to make it worthwhile to provide
support. They let VARs this for them. Obsolete equipment evolution is just
part of most technology based business model. The junk piles are full of
it... look at analog modems, cell phones, etc.
I do hope the HN7000s and mobile use remains for years to come. But, I would
not bet on it... with Hughes at least.

Typically, you swap a part out, not fix it. We've been doing satellite
since 2002 and that has always been the approach.
If you ever come to Tucson, we have lots of used HughesNet equipment:
dishes, radios, modems, and arms.Take care,
