My sincere thanks to everyone... I'm finally on line with HughesNet.

This morning I was going threw the same thing with cross pol. After
accepting I wasn't going to get anywhere without getting higher CP numbers
(best was 45) no matter what I tried with auto, manual, and changing
locations I kept nudging the antenna setting for SK and EL, cursing the dog,
and had a morning beer!!! I was able to get CP using manual on Don's OPI
meter 52 & 55 so that was some progress. I one or two bips at 62 green.
Remember Don's suggestion from past years that it don't have to really be
green 61+ all the time I stopped manual and let things settle between 54 &
59. Then I did a forced ranging and it all came up.

In hindsight I am sure my arm with LNB &Xmtr is marginal for SS. It came and
went on me yesterday with no proximity to the antenna.... it just did it. I
plan to junk it.

I am now using my original dish, low ground tripod, one of Duane's arms with
LNB & Xmtr, my original modem. I will let it set and digest for the day and
turn it off and on a couple times

Tomorrow I am going to change modems to insure I still have spares and also
test power supplies for good spares as well. Then I am going to set up the
other tripod Duane gave me and get a second system running. I hope to change
to his transit tripod... its easier on my 70 year old bones!!! :-))
