[pakgrid] Doctoral GRA position in Security at George Mason University‏

Doctoral GRA position in Computer and Network Security at George Mason University
I am looking for a doctoral Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to work on attack modeling and defense for wired and mobile networks at the Center for Secure Information Systems, George Mason University.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must apply and be admitted to the Ph.D. Program in Information Technology at the Volgenau School of Engineering. The position will start as soon as the successful candidate is admitted to the program, and will remain open until filled.
The GRA will work on problems related to efficient (possibly real-time) computation of optimal network hardening and defense strategies for very large wired and mobile ad-hoc networks.
The ideal candidate will have a M.S. in Computer Science or Information Technology, with strong theoretical and implementation skills. Theoretical skills should include network security, complexity analysis, graph theory, approximation algorithms, and data mining.
George Mason University offers a competitive package of benefits.
If you are interested, please contact Dr. Massimiliano Albanese (malbanes@gmu.edu), and send your Curriculum Vitae along with contact information for three references.Visit http://csis.gmu.edu/albanese/news/gra-position-2012.html for more information.
