The mHealth Technical Advisor, Evidence Financing and Policy will contribute to the overarching role of the mHealth Alliance to catalyze the power of mobile technologies to advance health and well-being throughout the world, with a focus on low-income countries.

The mHealth Technical Advisor is responsible for providing critical expertise and leadership in these areas to help achieve the goals of the AllianceThe mHealth Alliance champions the use of mobile technologies to improve health throughout the world. Working with diverse partners to integrate mHealth into multiple sectors, the Alliance serves as a convener for the mHealth community to overcome common challenges by sharing tools, knowledge, experience, and lessons learned.

The mHealth Alliance advocates for more and better quality research and evaluation to advance the evidence base;  seeks to build capacity among health and industry decision-makers, managers, and practitioners; promotes sustainable business models; and supports systems integration by advocating for standardization and interoperability of mHealth platforms.  The mHealth Alliance also hosts HUB (Health Unbound), a global online community for resource sharing and collaborative solution generation.

Community Manager, mHealth

The Community Manager for the mHealth Alliance is responsible for building a vibrant community around mHealth using the platform of HealthUnbound (HUB) and managing the content on HUB, mhealthalliance.org, the Alliance’s social media properties, and engaging in activities related to the Alliance Communities of Practice, Working Groups, and in-country workshops and conferences. The Alliance is a global catalyst for driving mHealth to sustainable scale and unlocking the greatest possible benefit for public health in developing countries.

The strategic priority areas for the Alliance center on Technology, Capacity, Evidence, Financing, and Policy. As part of these strategies, the Community Manager, mHealth Alliance will be responsible for content management, outreach to the community and communicating the work of the Alliance across its online properties.  The Community Manager will create virtual thought leadership pieces, such as blog posts, and manage discussion threads and groups. The Community Manager will also convene virtual and online events in an effort to build a cohesive mHealth community and engage the community in complementary in-person networking as appropriate.
