The Estonian Competence Centre on Software Technology and Applications (http://www.stacc.ee) is a consortium of ten companies and two universities conducting applied research in the fields of data mining and service engineering.
The centre is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of social network analysis. The successful candidate will become technical coordinator of a project sponsored by Skype. The goal of the project is to develop and to apply scalable methods to analyze highly dynamic social networks consisting of tens of billions of connections.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field (or be close to completing a PhD). Previous research experience in machine learning, data mining, graph mining and/or social network analysis is a must. Experience in industry-linked research projects and ability to supervise research students and research engineers is highly desirable.
The position will be for 3 years. The salary will be highly competitive by international standards. The starting date is negotiable. The position will be based in Tartu, Estonia.
