The Department of Management Science and Information Systems of Rutgers 
Business School – Newark and New Brunswick invites applications for a 
tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank to start in 
September 2012. The department offers undergraduate programs in Management 
Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, 
it contributes to the MBA, Masters in Information Technology programs and 
it coordinates the tracks in Management Science and Information Technology 
of the doctoral program. The Rutgers Business School is accredited, and 
is a part of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, which is a vibrant 
public research university. The Rutgers business School is located in two 
campuses: Newark and New Brunswick.

This position is focused in the area of information systems and the candidate 
must be an active researcher and have a strong record of scholarly excellence. 
Special consideration will be given to candidates with knowledge in any of 
the areas: data mining, machine learning, security, data management and 
analytical methods related to business operations.

The applicants are expected to teach undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. level 
courses, be actively involved in research, and supervise Ph.D. students. The 
MSIS Faculty research interests include Electronic Commerce, Databases, Data 
Mining, Information Systems Security, Multimedia, Digital Libraries as well 
as Operations Research and Applied Statistics.

Priority deadline for applications is October 28, 2011, but we will continue 
accepting applications until a successful candidate is found.
