Applied Informatics Research Centre at Victoria University (Melbourne, Australia) is offering a Ph.D. scholarship in the context of a project on physiological time series data processing.
In general, this project focuses on developing original algorithmic and model solution for online streaming data processing. Candidates are expected to possess good analytical and programming skills, algorithm theory and the ability to work under the supervision of a team of senior researchers.
Students from computer science/software engineering, mathematics or other related discipline are encouraged to apply. The visa requirement for PhD study is IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 in Academic module with a minimum score of 6.0 in each module. This project involves the cooperation with the industry partner in Brisbane, Australia (Valued 46,000A$ per year including 20,000 A$ tuition fee for three years)
Expected starting date: October 19, 2011.
